Session 18:
played 28 decemberr 2005@Toms
GameLocation: near the red 1 on the map.
GameDate: night of day 14 - evening of day 15
PeoplePresent:
Note: this session we started using the Hack and Slash rules for combat.
We let the leader run (we only had one horse). Baldur (the dwarf from the resistance who was also there and who helped us)
told us that normally the silver is deliverd to the dwarven lumberjacks who also live near the village. We
decided to immedieatly bring the silver there, so they could take over our burden (i.e., the silver).
We also slept there for the rest of the night, and at dawn left for Aldus, via Mottera (see map).
In Mottera we did some quick shopping, and decided not to take the main road, but take the small roads (more direct line)
to Aldus. THis because the killing of the orc captain would probabaly lead to a major inquiry and we didn't
want to run the risk to be arrested (we alleady heared that the orcs have good mages who can speak with the dead).
At night we arrived in a small town, where in teh center a small girl was tied to a pole. After some
inquiries at the inn (and at the local sherrif), we heard why. It seems that some year ago a small giant came to the village with
a 'knight in full armor' (we assuem a construct) and told the villagers that every year he wanted a young girl from the village.
The villagers of course didn't comply, the giant sent his 'knight' to kill and destory part of the village. Eventually
the villagers complied. Each year there after the vilagers received a message (brought by the knight) telling them
to select a girl and tie her to the pole. At the set dat, the 'knight' returns, drugs the girl and walks away with her.
The villagers do not now where. The sherrif once gathered some man to ambushing the 'knight'. This resulted in the killing
of all the ambushers (except the sherrif who barely survived). They also had rented an adventurer who tried to track the
'knight', but he never returned.
The sherrif and inkeeper were very happy that our party wanted to help them. Note that at the inn were also two 'civilian' orcs.
They seemed to have come for the sacrifice/kidnapping of the girl, but weren't very talkative.
WHen the 'knight' came that evening for the girl, our party followed the 'knight'. The orcs did the same! They are treasure hunters who
had heared about the sotry of the village, and wanted the giant's probably large treasure. As we wanted to save the girl, they wanted to cooperate.
They wanted half the treasure (altough it was 4 of us and only 2 of them). We half 'agreed' to this. We followed the 'knigh' (who is carrying the girl)
quite some time until lhe went of the road and into a cave. We had to make a light, but Stefan (dwarf) followed him in immediatly.
That is unitll he ran into a chamber where a bunch of zombies came out of the ground. Stefan came back, and we went back in to kill the zombies (who
were half burried into the ground and easaly killed (witht he Hack and Slash rules). The orcs did not really help us in this (the wussies). There we left off...
