Session 19:
played 24 januari 2006@Ronny's
GameLocation: near the red 2 on the map.
GameDate: night of day 15 -
PeoplePresent: Seth, Stef, Ronny & Tom
After defeating the zombies (seemed we forgot that normal zombies can't be stunned, so the battle might have gone very different if we had played it like that), we continued to track the 'Golem'. In one of the hallways in the cave we found a trap-pit. Some of us jumped over, some climbed over (first down via a rope, then up on the other side via another rope. One of the orcs fell down while climbing down and died!
After some time we came above ground in a wood. The tracks led to a small hill by the side of the woods, on which a big round tower stood.,with 3 floors (ground with now windows ans big door, 1st and second floor with windows in three directions). We climbed the back of the hill. Bruno cast fly and looked through the windows (of first and second floor). Nothing moving there. Alle the PC's climbed in (the orc and guide stayed outside) and looked around (->library with books in strange languages and a kind of laboratory). We took the stairs down to the ground floor. There we found a bolted outer door, and facing that an inner door. The inner door was open, and we looked in.
One one side the 'Golem' was standing very still on a pedistal on the ground floor, and we believed the giant to be in the basement (unaware of our presence). We were unsure how to procede. The golem didn't seem to react to our presence, but we believed that there might be some kind of trap on the stairs to the basement that would trigger it.
Eventually my elven rogue decided to sneak past it and sneak down the stairs, while my three friends would be ready to attack the golem at the first sign of movement. Notwhithstanding my active searching (taking 30 seconds to investigate each stair carefully), I triggered the alarm (low roll?). The Golem started to move, an dmy 3 third level friends, attacked it... without succes. The 120 DB (of which 70 comes from instiinctive defence) made it practically invulnerable. My character came back up te staires, and suprised it in the back (+35), and even that only nipt the golem... that is where our session ended (My character is in problems, as my backstabbing grabbed it's attention, and the next round it turned and attackt me (while i had put nothing on my parry as it wasn't facing me the round before... I sudden dodged, but am stil practically dead (5 bleeding / 7 stunned, 12 hits remaining)
