Session 5
Session 5:played on 12 March 2004 @ Bruno'sGameLocation: near the red 1 on the map. GameDate: day 6-7-8 Scout! I need a scout! When we last left our heroes they had just met up with the nice Dwarves who, without being asked, offered to help the group with their heavy load of silver. Unfortunately the Dwarves no longer possessed the silver which had lost to an even friendlier group of Orcs who offered to store the silver in their VERY well guarded fortress. Now the group along with the Dwarves was trying to decide how best to ask the Orcs for the silver back without hurting their feelings. In order to best recover the silver the group was going to have to do some scouting. They decided that every brick in the castle would have to be inspected over and over in order to determine the best route of action. This would require great patience. Some Jonathon and Tom decide to scout around the fortress at night while the others sleep/healed themselves. After what seemed like many many hours they report back to the group over what they had seen. The fortress is about a 100 meters from a large cliff. There also seems to be some sort of tunnel entrance at the base of this cliff. The two saw eight visible Orcs on the walls. The walls are in poor shape, there is a hole in the eastern wall that is large enough for people to climb through. After the report much thinking and discussing is done. After that more thinking and discussing is done. They decide that more scouting needs to be done. The next day Tom and Stefan decided to climb up the cliff and see if they could look down into the fortress. The highlight of this scouting trip was Stefan almost falling to his death, other than that it was pretty boring. The two reported back to the group on what they had seen. There seemed to be 20 Orcs inside and one troll, possibly more. They also saw a building where the weapons were most likely hidden. Tom decides that the cave entrance should be investigated. He went alone to the cave entrance, two large metal doors, and opened them with little care to the noise it made or to potential traps. Tom sees nothing but blackness. He then reports back to the group about what he saw which is pretty much nothing so no one is impressed. Some members of the group think Tom is stealthy and smart for what he did, others believe the oppositeJ. The next day Tom and Stefan decide to climb up the cliff to get a better tan and 'chill-out' for awhile. The Dwarves have made up their minds; they are going to attack the fortress now! Seth, Jonathon, and Bruno go with them. It is time for action. Bruno climbs up the cliff to get Stefan and Tom. The five of them and the 6 Dwarves agree on a loose battle plan. The Dwarves will attack and distract while the other five sneak in and get their weapons. Then they will all fight together! written by Seth
